FBC MAC Center

About The Project

From March 2008 to September 2008, West Star Interiors, Inc. installed the interior framing, insulation, gypsum wallboard, lath and stucco for the new activity center for The First Baptist Church in Brandon Florida.

About The MAC Center

We are excited about what God is doing at the MAC (Ministry and Activities Center). The MAC offers many different fitness and recreational activities. The MAC is located at the corner of Morgan and Edwards 1 block west of Parsons.

Our mission: To be a place where the community is welcome, where individuals and families are strengthened, and where individuals, gifts and talents are developed and utilized. We desire the MAC to be a lighthouse to our community, a place that brightly shows acceptance, joy, and love in a clean and safe environment and to be a place where individuals and families can be built up.

Membership to the MAC is open to both the church family and the public.  For further information you can drop by or contact the MAC front desk at 813-315-3280.

Membership at The Ministry and Activities Center includes of the following:

  • Two full basketball courts
  • 1/10 mile walking track

Bonnet Creek Resort

The Project

In August 2007, West Star Interiors, Inc. began the exterior construction on the Waldorf Astoria and the Convention Center projects within the Bonnet Creek Resort. West Star provided the scaffolding, exterior framing, GlasRoc, TYVEK building wrap, FRP, weather barrier, lath and stucco and completed the two projects by December 2009.

Vinoy Place

About the Project

In March 2000, the Vinoy City Homes and the four Vinoy Place Towers were closer to becoming prime condominium real estate in Pinellas County, Florida. West Star Interiors, Inc. installed the interior and exterior framing, EIFS,  insulation, gypsum wallboard, gypsum sheathing, lath and stucco. The project was completed in October 2001.

Bayfront Medical Center

About the Project

Beginning in September 2006 through December 2007, West Star Interiors installed the exterior framing, insulation, gypsum sheathing, lath and stucco on the parking garage and the pedestrian bridge expansions to the existing hospital located in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Ventana

About the Project

The construction for this 14 story condominium located on busy Channelside Drive in Tampa, Florida began in February 2006. West Star Interiors, Inc. provided the scaffolding and installed the framing, insulation, GWB, foam shapes and stucco and by June 2007 the units were available for sale.

Lowry Park Zoo

About the Project

In 2014, Lowry Park Zoo recognized a need for a new barn to house their Hoof Stock. West Star Interiors, Inc. began constructing the concrete pad in June 2014 and by November 2014 completed the wood framing and heavy gauge hardware required to keep the animals safe.

About the Project

West Star Interiors was contracted to execute the interior and exterior framing, gypsum sheathing, insulation, gypsum wallboard, EIFS, stucco and the two GFRC (glass fiber reinforced concrete) domes. The project was completed at International Plaza in September 2004.

DACCO

About The Project

In October of 2007, West Star Interiors, Inc. began construction on the new DACCO Center for Behavioral Health located in Tampa Florida. By October 2008, West Star had provided the scaffold and installed the lath and stucco just in time for the grand opening in November 2008.

About DACCO

Serving Hillsborough County, DACCO is one of Floridas largest community-based providers of behavioral health services. Through its programs, DACCO saves lives and keeps families together by addressing substance abuse and mental health issues.  With the mission of working toward a drug-free community, one person, one family at a time, our comprehensive programs encourage healthy living, job productivity and overall family stability.

DACCO was incorporated in 1973 through the leadership of representatives from the City of Tampa, Hillsborough County, the Chamber of Commerce, United Way and other organizations in Tampa, Florida. Initially, DACCO provided drug abuse planning, coordination and monitoring for local governmental units. However, in 1975, DACCO first received funding to provide drug treatment. Since then, DACCO has expanded into the countys largest comprehensive community-based substance use disorder service provider, reaching over 25,000 persons annually through prevention and treatment. Our vision is an image synonymous with drug-free living, setting the standard for excellence in behavioral health.

The Drug Abuse Comprehensive Coordinating Office is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and licensed by the Florida Department of Children and Families for our outstanding Drug and Alcohol Addiction Treatment Programs and Prevention Programs.

In 2008, we built our three story state-of-the-art Center for Behavioral Health in Tampa, Florida. Home to a comprehensive range of substance use disorder services, this facility includes two new family living duplexes where mothers progress through treatment without being separated from their children.
